Helium 10 alternatives for small Amazon sellers
Helium 10 is a big toolkit, and small sellers often use only a few parts of it. Here's what Helium 10 offers, what the main alternatives do, and the free options to try first.

You signed up for Helium 10 because everyone recommended it. Three months later, you've used the keyword tool a few times and the listing builder once. The rest of the dashboard is still a mystery, and the bill keeps coming.
Helium 10 is a good product. It's also built to cover almost everything an Amazon business does, and many small sellers only need a slice of that. This guide explains what Helium 10 offers, then the alternatives, with each tool described from its own website. We've avoided ratings from review sites, because they go out of date fast.
First, what do you actually need?
Before comparing tools, write down the two or three jobs you want done. For most small sellers, it's some mix of:
- Product research: is there demand, and how much competition?
- Keyword research: what words do shoppers type?
- Listing writing: titles, bullets and descriptions.
- Tracking: sales, ranking and reviews over time.
If you mainly need one of these, a smaller or free tool may do the job.
Helium 10: the baseline
According to its pricing page (helium10.com/pricing), Helium 10 has a Free plan with limited access, and paid plans called Platinum, Diamond and Enterprise. When we checked in October 2026, Platinum was listed at $129 a month billed monthly, or $99 a month billed yearly. Platinum includes keyword tools, a listing analyzer and its AI Listing Builder.
Best for: sellers who want one toolkit for research, listings, ads and tracking, and will use most of it.
Alternative 1: Amazon's own free tools
Amazon gives you more than most sellers use:
- AI listing tools in Seller Central, under Catalog and Add Products. Amazon can draft a listing from a short description, up to three photos, a product page URL or a spreadsheet (Sell on Amazon).
- Amazon's search bar. Its suggestions show what shoppers are typing.
Best for: new sellers with a few products who want to learn before they pay. See our guide to free AI tools for Amazon listings.
Limits: no sales estimates for competitors, and no keyword search volume in the listing tool.
Alternative 2: Jungle Scout
Jungle Scout's pricing page (junglescout.com/pricing) splits it into two products:
- Jungle Scout Catalyst for sellers under $1M in annual revenue: product research, keyword research, competitor analysis by ASIN and help with launches, tracking up to 200 ASINs.
- Jungle Scout Cobalt for brands and agencies over $1M, with market and category data.
Catalyst works fully in the US, Canada, Mexico, UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain, with some features limited to the US. Jungle Scout says it doesn't offer a free trial, but new customers on regularly priced Catalyst plans get a 7-day money-back guarantee. Check their pricing page for current plan prices.
Best for: sellers whose main job is finding and validating products, and who want sales estimates.
Alternative 3: ZonGuru Helix
ZonGuru's current focus is listings. Its pricing page (zonguru.com/pricing) describes Helix as "AI Listing Engineering": it connects to Seller Central, rebuilds listings, publishes them and keeps watching them with alerts. Plans are sized by how many listings it monitors and how many it rebuilds each month. When we checked in October 2026, the Starter plan was $149 a month billed monthly, for up to 15 managed listings and 5 rebuilds a month. You can also buy one-off credits without a plan. Helix covers the US and UK marketplaces.
ZonGuru also offers a free Amazon AI Readiness Score, which reads a live listing's text and scores it from 0 to 100.
Best for: brands with an established catalog who want ongoing listing work done for them.
Limits: priced for brands rather than first-time sellers, and US and UK only.
Alternative 4: eRank
eRank is best known as an Etsy tool, but its keyword trend data covers other marketplaces, including Amazon and eBay. Its free plan has daily limits and needs no card, and paid plans start low (erank.com/pricing).
Best for: sellers on both Etsy and Amazon who mainly want keyword ideas on a small budget.
Limits: it isn't built around Amazon product research the way Helium 10 or Jungle Scout are.
Alternative 5: general AI chat tools
ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini have free tiers. They don't have Amazon data, but with good prompts they can draft listings. Our ChatGPT prompts guide has prompts and the checks to run.
Best for: writing and rewriting, once you already know your keywords.
Limits: no search data, and they invent facts if you let them.

How to choose
- 1Mostly writing listings? Start with Amazon's built-in AI and a chat tool. Pay only if editing takes too long. Our guide on what to check before you pay for an AI listing generator helps.
- 2Mostly finding products? Compare Jungle Scout and Helium 10 for the research parts you'll use.
- 3Big catalog, little time? Look at listing services like ZonGuru Helix.
- 4Selling on Etsy too? eRank can cover keyword ideas for both.
Where YelloShelf fits
YelloShelf isn't a Helium 10 replacement. It doesn't do product research, sales estimates or tracking. It drafts titles, descriptions and tags from your product photos, with Amazon's limits and those of other platforms built in, and it can also make listing images and social posts from the same photos. It doesn't have a free plan or trial. You buy a credit pack, starting at $10, and your first purchase comes with a money-back guarantee. We're helping you remove the manual, tedious, time-consuming work. You still read it, edit it and paste it in yourself.
Quick checklist
- List the two or three jobs you need a tool for.
- Try Amazon's free tools first.
- Use free plans and money-back windows to test.
- Read each tool's own pricing page, not review sites.
- Cancel tools you haven't opened in a month.
FAQ
What is the best free alternative to Helium 10?
For listing writing, Amazon's own AI tools in Seller Central are free to use and write in Amazon's format. For keyword ideas, eRank's free plan and Helium 10's own Free plan are worth trying. None of them replace every paid feature.
Is Jungle Scout cheaper than Helium 10?
It depends on the plan and on when you check, because both companies change their prices. Compare the plans that cover the features you'll use on each company's pricing page.
Does Jungle Scout have a free trial?
Jungle Scout's pricing page says it doesn't offer a free trial, but new customers on regularly priced Catalyst plans get a 7-day money-back guarantee.
Can I use eRank for Amazon?
eRank is built mainly for Etsy, but its keyword trend data covers other marketplaces, including Amazon. It's useful for keyword ideas, not Amazon product research.
Do I need Helium 10 to sell on Amazon?
No. Many sellers start with Amazon's own tools and free methods, then add a paid tool when they know which job they need help with.
